Mr Kamalarajah is a Consultant Ophthalmic surgeon with a specialist interest in Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital disorders. He is based at the Royal Victoria Hospital and also has sessions in the Mater Hospital.
Mr Kamalarajah graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Dundee. He completed his basic Ophthalmic training in the Royal Victoria hospital, Belfast. During this time he also undertook a period of ophthalmic research towards a Doctor of Medicine at Queen’s University Belfast.
He became a Fellow in Oculoplastic, Orbital and Lacrimal surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, in 2002.
He was appointed Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon at Altnagelvin Hospital, Londonderry, in 2003. He then moved to the Belfast Trust in June 2011, where he is currently based.
He is a Fellow of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth), member of The British Medical Association (BMA) and British Oculoplastic Surgeons Society (BOPSS).
